Based in California and made in the USA, Pair was founded to give designers and organizations more freedom in creating workplace furniture. Our products are manufactured on demand using tool-free processes, allowing for greater flexibility, thoughtful design, and faster iteration.

Our collection includes both ready-to-spec furniture and fully custom solutions. Designers can choose from our off-the-shelf product line or collaborate with us to create something entirely unique.

Our Story

We’re furniture industry veterans who couldn’t find a good way to customize furniture. If somebody wanted something unique, that would take four different manufacturers, months of lead time, a small army, and a lot of hacking to get the job done. So we reimagined it. All of it. We created Pair to give organizations and designers one place to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind furniture. And then we made a promise to each other that still stands today: no matter where our clients are in their journey, we’d be there for them.

We are dedicated to choosing good, sustainable materials, minimizing waste, working with local craftspeople and manufacturers when possible, and just being good citizens to a planet that’s been good to us (2020 excluded).

Designed and assembled in the United States. We partner with U.S. and worldwide manufacturing facilities to deliver exceptional quality and value. Our local Oakland factory brings decades of woodworking expertise, offering custom design, millwork, and hands-on production to ensure every piece is made with precision and care.

Average lead time for standard product is 6-8 weeks depending on the product mix.

An engagement is a collaboration with you and your team, where we pair with your talent to understand and design your vision, therefore schedules will vary based on the needs and project scope.

Custom products can take on average 12-14 weeks. This can be impacted by the scope of the project, as the time to design and engineer can vary.
